I haven't blogged in a while...

Almost forgot how to do it! But I guess it's like riding a bike, you never forget!

Sorry for my MIA, I've been busy studying for exams and I have another one on Monday but when that is done I'll have a little more time to blog.

Only thing is, I wish I could find my camera, it's been so long since I last posted eotds. Dang, the last time I did an eotd I spent an hour on hair and make-up, only to run around frantically for two hours looking for my camera that had gone missing.

So many things I'd like to post. The way they've dug up our entire sidewalk just to put down cables, that was some sight, several roads had no sidewalks, so mpthers pushing their babies around had to squeeze by whenever cars or bikes fought for what little road space was left.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Expect me blogging again sometime next week!

Hair

I was tagged by Vianne, dang I gotta work out more at the gym. See if I can stay on the treadmill longer because at this rate I keep getting tagged. To the gym it is!! (nananananananananananananananana workout!! (theme from original batman))

Well, I've always had somewhat straight hair since birth. I never bothered with hair when I was younger and it started showing when I was in junior high. Sun damaged and split ends. I've also had literally every type of hair except bald, from very very short boy's cut that was shaved 3 inches from my neckline up, then covered with remaining hair to hair so long I could almost sit on it. (Not doing that long ever again, too high-maintenance and the cost of shampoo is just not worth it!)

Anywhoodle... I try to take really good care of my hair now, I started when I was 17 and got tired of having short and boring hair.

Length: Shoulderblade length at present mooment. Gonna get a haircut next week. (I try to schedule it so I get a haircut every 3 months)

Style: Layered

Color: Very dark brown, almost black.

Favorite shampoo: Tsubaki or Kanebo

Favorite conditioner: Tsubaki or Sanotint(organic)

Favorite hair mask: Kanebo

Favorite leave-in conditioner: Sebastian potion 9

Favorite serum: Redken glass shine, Charles Worthington shine serum, Kérastase serum for ends.

Favorite styling product: Davines gel-wax

Favorite hair spray. I use hairspray a couple of times a year when I do something special about it: Davines hair spray (it's light and holds my hair without it being stiff or feeling sticky, can't really see it or feel it, it's just there)

I think that's it.

Bored, so what should we do??

My brother and I decided to get a MAC book for my mother. She needs to get online and enter the 21st century. She doesn't know anything about computers or Internet. Once, I asked her to shut down my laptop and she went over and unplugged it! Hopefully she'll be able to use a MAC book since they're easier to navigate etc.

Well, before actually handed it over, of course my brother and I had to check it out and break the seal. Look how much fun you can have with photo editing when you're bored and have nothing better to do. Don't worry, the really ugly ones were sorted out. Wouldn't want you guys to get a shock!

So this is how I would look like with a double chin!

Looong nose and looking sad...

Don't I look like a rat here?
Paris background and my mom eating noodles. I just like her facial expression on the Warhol-esque picture
Ok, hope you guys enjoyed!

Well... there's always next year.

So, I got an e-mail from the secreatry of the Japanese ambassador. Well, I didn't get the scholarship, the reason being that I didn't score enough points on the test. I kinda expected it to happen but I was hoping for the other two applicants to do about the same as me. There were a lot of literature and proverbs and it was not directed at a business school student. The two other applicants from Copenhagen University might have done better. Oh well, not much to do about it. There is always next year...

And how cool is Christopher Walken in this video?

5 beauty crimes

Kaye tagged me, so here are my 5 beauty crimes.

1. I sometimes do dark eyes and dark lips. I don't really see it as a crime either but apparently everyone says so...

2. I curl my lashes before and after I apply mascara. Yes yes, I know. It's not good for my lashes, they can break off etc. But I just can't help it.

3. I don't apply body lotion after I shower. I don't like having all that goop in my palms and having to smear it all over my body. I know I should since there's a lot of calcium in the tap water here in Denmark and it's not good for either skin or hair. I'm just too lazy! I think I apply body lotion to my legs once every two months or something.

4. This doesn't count anymore really... but I used to bite my nails. I was the worst nail biter. The bitter stuff you apply to your nails to prevent further biting? Well, I just kept biting through that. Luckily I just stopped by myself, half a decade ago.

5. I can mix and match all sorts, and I mean ALL sorts of colors on my lids. I don't really see this as a beauty crime either but according to some magazines, certain colors just don't match. I disagree, I think that those limits and that kind of mindset should be pushed. There shouldn't be any rules when it comes to make-up. Just to have fun with it.

Sorry if you've already been tagged. If that's the case, please look away from this :)

Here is a Swedish song that have been playing on repeat in my head the last couple of days. It is so sweet and gets me all relaxed and happy almost instantly. I love this song!

Japanese...

Apparently this is how you do when you eat sushi in Japan.

Better pay attention to etiquette!! LOL

And look! We've all been fooled by those Japanese, dang! They sure had me for a while...

Hope you enjoyed!

What happened today...

Well, after I took the bus to go to the Japanese embassy yesterday, in vain, since my contact wrote: Tuesday, March 26th and I'd rather be safe than sorry I of course went again today.

Turns out the other applicants were from Copenhagen university so they're more specialized in the language, whereas since I was from Copenhagen business school hadn't read Japanese poems, classical literature or went in-depth with the grammar. I was nervous that the others might have an advantage when it came to the language but when we went out for lunch it turned out that the test had been equally hard for them as well. And trust me, it was DIFFICULT with a capital D! For a couple of the questions I could narrow it down from 4 to 2 since it was multiple choice but then I had to go with either my gut feeling or go with the tried and tested "eenie meenie minie mo!" Yes, don't worry I didn't count out loud, that would probably have given the others a good laugh!

After lunch we had the interview. I was expecting it to be in Japanese so when 1 of the 3 interviewers said that I should introduce myself in English it threw me off but hey, I thought that the preliminary rounds of the interview might be in English and then we would switch to Japanese. I was so thrown off that I forgot some words...in English! Gahd and I'm supposed to be more fluent in English than I am in Japanese. Well, after a while of talking, he broke it off, thanked me and told me that I would be hearing from them in the next week. My jaw kinda dropped on the spot. Well, if I had known it was in English then I, of course would have been so much more swift. Dang! Well...

No need to worry more about that, just keeping my fingers crossed and waiting for next week to come...
